1. What's the difference between Jun Mei Black Tea and Lapsang Souchong Tea?
Jun mei black tea is often considered the luxury version of lapsang souchong with a more pronounced honey flavour and picked more than 1500 meters above sea level. Jun mei black tea is originated from Tongmu village in the Wuyi Mountain region. All teas from this region enjoy superior natural conditions.
Yin jun mei black tea is processed using a method similar to that used to produce Lapsang Souchong, but without smoke braising and the leaves consist of more buds.
2. How to brew jun mei black tea?
To brew hot tea, Yixing Clay Teapot or Porcelain Gaiwan is suggested as brewing tool.
Chinese Gongfu Way is recommended as below:
Serving Size: 3 grams tea
Water: 150ml in temperature around 90
5 Steeps: rinse, 15s, 15s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s
Rinse time is around 5 seconds.
For iced tea, 3g tea with 150ml mineral water, stay for 6-8 hours in fridge you can begin to drink the tea. Or add ice directly to hot tea when stay 1 minutes after getting tea soup.
